With the success of Playstation VR, many companies are looking to invest in new reality-bending technology. One of those companies is Facebook. In an interview with TechCrunch, Facebook’s head of augmented reality, Ficus Kirkpatrick, confirmed that the company was developing augmented reality glasses.
Kirkpatrick states “We are building hardware products. We’re going forward on this . . . We want to see those glasses come into reality, and I think we want to play our part in helping to bring them there.”
The company has expressed a desire to get into augmented reality technology before. Back in 2017, Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook’s CEO, confirmed that the company had interest in this type of technology.
It’ll be interesting to see what Facebook comes up with.
