    What you need to know about WWE star Shad Gaspard

    The passing of the late great Shad Gaspard came as a shock to all. However, the WWE world lost not only a future legend but a great soul. Many recognize Gaspard as a member of the tag-team group named Cryme Tyme. Recently, WWE announced Shad Gaspard as the 2022 recipient of the Warrior Award on Twitter.

    Shad Gaspard was never afraid of the big screen

    After his wrestling career began to fizzle out he ventured into acting. Many may not know, but he played in several big-time movies headlined by well-known actors such as Will Ferrel, Kevin Hart, Regina King, Chadwick Boseman, and more. According to sources, he starred in the Black Panther, Think Like A Man Too, Get Hard, and Sandy Wexler.

    Gaspard played college basketball at the Perimeter College at Georgia State University 

    Before Gaspard began wrestling, he played college basketball. He was a very large man so one may agree this seems fitting. However, after basketball, he began getting into the bodyguard business. He’s body guarded some of the biggest entertainment stars in the business. He protected Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Britney Spears, Mike Tyson, and P Diddy.

    Gaspard potentially could have been a boxer instead of a wrestler

    Gaspard began studying martial arts at the age of five, according to HipHopHollywood.com. His father had a boxing background and began training him at such a young age he began to find a passion for boxing.

    Shad Gaspard may be bulletproof

    At some point in his life, he was held at gunpoint at a gas station.  While admitting he was scared for his life, Gaspard disarmed the person and took them down. He refused to sit there and let this person control his fate, luckily, it was only a BB gun, per sources.
