TYA Recently Released An Extraordinary Single Titled “come & go”

Emerging singer-songwriter TYA recently released a new trendy single entitled “come & go.” This single is one of a kind as it sounds nothing like the usual when it comes to R&B music, as TYA made sure to bring an authentic feel to the unique track.

“come & go” is a single that follows after the success of her previously released singles “Fckboy Rader,” “nobody else,” and “me & u, u & i (lalala lovin’).” These all display TYA’s ability to create atmospheric, captivating, and intoxicating tunes.

TYA had a chat with us and answered our unique 4 Questions. Check it out below.

HYPEFRESH: Let’s start by introducing ourselves. You know the basics, like name, age, and where you’re from, as much or little as you’re comfortable sharing.

TYA: My name is Petya, but my artist’s name is TYA (tee-yah). I was born in Bulgaria, but my family immigrated to New York City when I was only five years old. I’m 25 years old and currently live in Manhattan. My dream has always been to pursue music, and I have known it since 5. I’ve taken several paths, but I’ve never been content without music. I decided to pursue my dreams with full force in late 2020, and it has been a fantastic roller coaster since then. The ride I have been on is the message I was hoping to portray in my new single, “come & go.”

HYPEFRESH: Can you tell us about your new single, “come & go”?

TYA: I wrote “come & go” about the difficulties we encounter with romantic relationships and distractions when chasing a dream. My path is music, and I always want to dedicate and give all my energy to it. Although “come &go” isn’t about a specific person, I did write it as a love song to portray these feelings. Some lyrics that mean a lot to me are “too much on the line for this” and “I can’t give you what you need.” When you focus on your vision, there is always too much on the line. Even going on a date can be a distraction. I hope I’m not the only one that feels this way, and maybe others can relate to the song, haha. True fulfillment comes from going after your purpose and love. Of course, everybody wants to have both (I wonder who wouldn’t), but sometimes it is hard to have both or even balance them. My hope (as with all of my music) is that it resonates with others feeling this way.

HYPEFRESH: What do you like most about being a music artist?

TYA: It is challenging to pick one thing because I love everything about being an artist. I have been a singer my whole life, but one thing I wasn’t prepared for until I started releasing my music was the people I would meet along the way. The community and inspiration from other creatives are just so compelling. People that I met from my first music video – I consider lifelong friends now. People that I’ve worked with on music, people that I’ve danced with, and people that have even told me my song means something to them and has made them feel something. It’s just insane. For example, I have known the producer of this song (shout out to Bizzaro Beats) since elementary school. We saw each other at the gym one day ten years later and decided to make a song. “come & go” is an excellent example of this. Music always brings everyone together, and that statement has so much power. I know I am still figuring out where I want to be as an artist, but every small step toward my vision feels like I am living out my purpose. It is all about the journey, and the community of creatives I have met inspires me daily. The connection that comes with the work is one of the best feelings.
