Canadian Artist Tory Lanez Placed On House Arrest Until Trial

Canadian artist Tory Lanez is someone who makes it very hard to believe he’s genuinely a good person. It feels like he almost goes out of his way to be unlikeable. These past couple of years have been nothing but repeated incidents where Tory is the common denominator. Hopefully, they can be put to a halt now that he is under house arrest.

    Solves Problems w/ Violence

If you don’t know, the courts placed an ankle monitor on Tory Lanez until his trial begins for the Meg shooting. This took place after the prosecutor tried to get him sent to jail for his involvement in the alleged scuffle with R&B artist August Alsina. How low of a person do you have to be to put hands on someone that is auto-immune? Did he not stop and think that no one would find out or, even worse, August could possibly suffer life-threatening injuries? Obviously not, because this is the same person who allegedly shot a black woman, so this wouldn’t be the first time he inflicted serious harm on someone. I don’t blame the prosecutor at all for trying to make the streets safer by putting him in custody.

If this was an average person, they would instantly be in jail for their wild behavior. This is the reason that Tory can get away with so much without barely any repercussions. The thing is, I don’t care that he is a celebrity. We must hold people accountable for their actions. This situation is a prime example of the black community not holding black accountable and not believing a black woman. Moments like this are why it’s such a vicious cycle with no sign of improvement.

    No Remorse

The worst part is, I don’t think he takes any of this shit seriously. He jokingly named his last project, “Sorry 4 What” to show how unapologetic of a person he is and how he has zero remorse. It serves him right that all the major DSP playlist curators blackballed him. Why should he be rewarded for his trash behavior?

This saga has gone on for too long. To be honest, I want the trial to start already. More importantly, I’m ready for justice to be served. What do you think will happen? Let us know your thoughts below.
