This is going to be a reboot.
It seems like James Gunn Suicide Squad 2 has wrapped up filming. After the wrapping, Gunn had these words to say about shooting the movie.
“And that’s a wrap on #TheSuicideSquad,” Gunn wrote. “My father died two weeks before we started filming, and my dog died two weeks before the end. It was a hard, hard time in my life and yet the most fulfilling time I’ve ever had making a movie. The professionalism, talent, compassion, and kindness of this cast and crew inspired me every day. Thanks to everyone involved in this film, in every stage of development, in every department – I am grateful from the bottom of my heart for you all. You are why I make movies.”
This Suicide Squad will be a reboot, not a sequel. It still has some of the main cast like Margot Robbie returning as Harley Quinn, Viola Davis as Amanda Waller, Idris Elba, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flag, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, Michael Rooker, Nathan Fillion, John Cena, Peter Capaldi, Taika Waititi, and Pete Davidson. Unfortunately, Will Smith will not be reprising his role as Deadshot due to scheduling.
The film is set to be released on August 06, 2020. There are still things that have to be done for the movie, but comic film fans all over the world are happy to see James Gunn bring a take on SuicideSquad. Gunn reported that no one should get attached to any characters in the movie. There will be some unexpected deaths. However, that makes things more exciting.
With the last Suicide Squad movie being a bust. We pray that Gunn’s can bring Hollywood fame to this comic series.
