The 76ers have signed Greg Monroe, Elton Brand announced earlier today.
As a member of both the Celtics and Raptors Monroe has played in 40 games, and has averaged 4.7 points and 4.0 rebounds in 10 minutes of play.
With the uncertainty of Embiid’s health looming over the Sixers head, along with the need to give Embiid a much-needed backup, this was a solid move, to say the least.
The Sixers have been busy with signings and trades this season. Earlier in the year, the Sixers acquired both Jimmy Butler and Tobias Harris via trade through deals with the Timberwolves and Clippers.
Now with the Playoffs just about a week away, this signing could possibly be a solid one.
