Rapper Gunna Responds to Impersonator Prank Video

Rapper Gunna is no stranger to getting impersonated by fans. In fact, he’s already been the subject of a prank video that clowned him for allegedly snitching on YSL contemporaries in their label’s ongoing RICO case.

A prankster has pulled out all the stops to make Gunna look like he’s Lil Durk on TikTok, and the results are hilarious.

    Gunna

Rapper Gunna, real name Sergio Kitchens, is one of the most influential rappers in the rap world. He’s signed to Young Thug’s label YSL Records and has released three studio albums.

He’s also a fashion influencer and a social media personality who has gained 4.4 million followers on Instagram. His newest accomplishment is the release of his 2022 album “DS4EVER” which debuted at number one on the Billboard charts.

Gunna was arrested in May after he conspired with fellow rapper Young Thug to commit Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) act charges. He hasn’t yet been convicted in the case and is expected to appear for trial in January.

    Who is Gunna?

Rapper Gunna, also known by his stage name Sergio Giavanni Kitchens, has risen to popularity in the hip-hop scene. He has collaborated with many notable artists, including Young Thug and Future.

He moved to Atlanta in 2011 and began working as a rapper.

After releasing a number of successful albums, Gunna debuted his third album DS4EVER in January and has since earned a peak position on the US Billboard 200 chart.

He has been credited with helping Young Thug rise to the throne of Atlanta’s rap scene. The two MCs have a great chemistry and their on-point flow has racked up millions of streams.

On December 14, Gunna pleaded guilty to racketeering conspiracy in what is known as an Alford plea. He was released from jail on Wednesday after his sentence was commuted to time served and 500 hours of community service.

    What’s Gunna been up to?

Rapper Gunna has been in the news a lot recently. He’s been a hot topic for many reasons, including his feud with Freddie Gibbs and the fact that he was arrested last year on charges of racketeering and conspiracy related to a street gang called YSL.

The 29-year-old has been in a legal predicament that many in the hip-hop community have not had to face. He pleaded guilty to racketeering and took an Alford plea, maintaining his innocence while acknowledging the possibility of being found guilty if tried.

He was sentenced to five years, with one of those years commuted to time served and the balance of his sentence suspended. In addition, he’s subject to special conditions, including completing 500 hours of community service.

He may be in a predicament, but he’s still a rapper who has a lot of fans and respect from the hip-hop community. That’s why it’s a little disheartening to see that someone could be so impersonated by a stranger online.

What was the outcome of the prank?

Pranks are fun, but they can also go awry. They can turn from practical jokes into mean-spirited forms of social aggression, bullying and harassment, resulting in pain, sorrow, anger and heartache for the prankster and the victim.

In the case of rapper Gunna, the prank went awry in an unfortunate way. His YouTube account was plastered with a video that clowned him for allegedly snitching on his YSL contemporaries in the label’s ongoing RICO case against Young Thug and his label.

The rapper, whose real name is Sergio Kitchens, was released from prison Wednesday after entering a negotiated guilty plea to a racketeering conspiracy charge. His one-year sentence was commuted, with the remaining four years suspended under special conditions, including 500 hours of community service.
