Queen Charlotte was such an intriguing character and her life circumstances and marriage left viewers wanting to know more. Netflix heard and will be answering this plea with a spinoff Brigerton prequel series all about the Sassy Queen.

Another Shondaland production with Bridgerton Prequel
Shonda Rhimes will return to write the new TV drama. As per Deadline, the Bridgerton prequel will delve into the early life and romantic experiences of Queen Charlotte before her ascent to power. The series will be developed by Bridgerton producers Betsy Beers and Tom Verica. Additionally, Young Violet Bridgerton and Lady Danbury will reprise their roles in this series, allowing an opportunity to flush their stories out more.

Regrettably, those unfamiliar with Julia Quinn’s book series, have not had the opportunity to get to know Queen in the same manner. The newly adapted Bridgerton prequel will remedy that, giving viewers the opportunity to get to know the queen and her historic rise to power.

Netflix’s Bridgerton has been confirmed for a third and fourth season. This news is not surprising. The High Londan Society gossip drama did very well with many engrossed in the story of the Bridgerton’s and the captivating Duke. Netflix hopes to be successful again with Bridgerton’s Untitled prequel about Queen Charlotte. Unfortunately, Netflix has not announced further details.
