Michael Cohen will spend three years in jail for nine felonies. These charges also include illegally helping Trump win the 2016 election.
In addition to his sentence, he will serve two more months for lying to congress, according to the Vice. Prosecutors had this to say about Cohen:
“Cohen first reached out to meet with the special counsel’s office at a time when he knew he was under imminent threat of indictment in this District. As such, any suggestion by Cohen that his meetings with law enforcement reflect a selfless and unprompted about-face are overstated.”
Michael Cohen had this to say about his sentence:
“I have been living in a personal and mental incarceration ever since the day that I accepted the offer to work for a real estate mogul whose business acumen I deeply admired.”
“Blind loyalty to this man [Trump] led me to choose a path of darkness over light.”
It looks like Trump might be going to jail soon.
