Lil Durk Turns Himself into Police For Connection to Shooting

Lil Durk has turned himself in.

Apparently, an incident that took place on February 5, has left the rapper with no choice. So on Thursday, Durk surrendered to Atlanta police, reports Page Six.

Details suggest the rapper is being charged with criminal attempt to commit murder, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and another charge of associating with a criminal street gang to participate in a crime.

According to the police report, a shooting was outside an Atlanta-based restaurant, The Varsity. After arriving at the scene, police discovered a man suffering from a bullet wound to the leg. There were also 13 shell casings found, allegedly belonging to a rifle and a pistol. Authorities rushed the unidentified man to a local hospital, where he underwent treatment for his injuries.

It’s not clear what role Lil Durk, whose real name is Durk Derrick Banks, played in the incident. However, he is now in police custody.

Shortly before he turned himself in, the rapper released a new song, titled “Turn Myself In.”
