Recent news hit that Saweetie would be guest starring on the season 2 premiere of the Peacock drama series Bel-Air. Though, she’s not the only rapper joining the new season. According to news reports, Kendrick Lamar will also be on the 2nd season of the show. Rather than making his acting debut, he dominated the soundtrack for the official trailer of the series.
He Dominates Another Soundtrack
After pretty much dominating the entire soundtrack of Marvel’s 2017 The Black Panther film, Kendrick Lamar has received tons of praise for his work. Not to mention, he’s being tapped to spearhead other soundtracks to films and tv series as well. Recently, the rapper’s “N95” track was used to usher in the second season of the Peacock series Bel-Air.
Furthermore, the full-length trailer dropped on January 19th and features Lamar singing the first line of the song’s intro with “Hello, new world.” As the song moves on, the instrumentals in “N95” build to a crescendo, keeping in rhythm with the trailer’s pacing. The Kendrick Lamar definitely knows how to set the tone for any movie and tv show.
The Trailer Uses Samples From Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers
Though, the official trailer sampled more songs from the artist, including his Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers album. Furthermore, several verses, melodies and iconic lines off the record were used to create a special effect. Clearly, Will Smith chose the right guy ring in the new season of Bel-Air. Be sure to catch the second installment of the series in February.
