Who else would love to see Jennifer Lopez perform the 2020 super bowl halftime show?
I know we have some months ahead of us before the 2020 halftime show Superbowl, but Jennifer Lopez is in the talks.
As of right now, J.Lo has not been confirmed by any officials, but she is reportedly in “very serious talks.”
An insider gave some info to HollywoodLife on Saturday, saying, “She’s very excited at the thought of it all and knows she’d absolutely kill it and already is talking ideas on the show itself.”
The source adds that next year’s Super Bowl seems perfect for Lopez since it will take place in one of the star’s favorite cities:
“It’s in Miami, a place she absolutely loves, and seeing as she’s celebrating life all year long after turning 50, feels it would be a perfect fit,” the source claimed, underscoring that Lopez is in “very serious talks” and “the deal is extremely close to being done.”
Jennifer Lopez joked saying:
“Yeah, [I’ve] thought about the Super Bowl and it’s in Miami. It’s a big deal, but we’ll see,” Lopez teased to Entertainment Tonight in July. “They make their own decisions over there [at the NFL].”
If Jennifer Lopez does sign the contract, she has plenty of potential special guests to choose from!
Her frequent collaborators Pitbull and Enrique Iglesias hail from Miami, and her ex-husband Marc Anthony is also known to regularly visit the Floridian city.
As Super Bowl headliner, Lopez would join the ranks of entertainers including,
Michael Jackson (1993), U2 (2002), Paul McCartney (2005), Prince (2007), Madonna (2012), Beyoncé (2013), Katy Perry (2015), Lady Gaga (2017), Justin Timberlake (2018) and Maroon 5 (2019).
