Furthermore, both Disney + and HBO Max have enjoyed profits with their same day as theaters releases. Currently, HBO Subscription starts at $9.99-$14.99. The Caveat is that same day as theaters releases are only available on the $14.99 ad free version.
Which Films Should You Expect?
Well, not much has been released about these ten films. However, when looking at their website, it’s pretty easy to see which films will be premiering thanks to their timeline of releases. For instance, it’s well known that DC Comics and WB will be doing simultaneous releases like The Batman coming in 2022. Also, it isn’t completely clear that all films are WB property. But an IMDB search can give you further information on these films.
Of the ten films, one has to think, Space Jam: A New Legacy is one of them as Warner Bros left their calling card all over that film. Other releases include James Gunn’s Suicide Squad which Max boasts will have a special screening on August 5th at 7pm. Additionally, on August 20th, from the minds of WestWorld, Reminiscence starring Hugh Jackman and Rebecca Fergunson will drop on then, as Well.

Finally, a Matrix film will be hitting the subscription service in December 22 but is untitled at the moment. It is also unclear if this will be a prequel, remake, or sequel.
DC Comics/WB partnership with HBO Max
For future releases, fans should expect The Batman, DC Super Pets, Black Adam, The Flash, Aquaman 2, Shazam! Fury of the Gods, and Wonder Woman 3 to also get this treatment. As, with the disolving of the DC Universe streaming platform*, Warner Bros and DC Comics have paired with HBO Max as their preferred streaming plaform. All of it’s TV shows will premiere and stream there and you can expect films to follow suit. But is it enough to entice more subscribers to the platform?
