“Friends” to some is one of the best sit-coms that has ever been created. On the other hand, some of the black fans strayed away from it because it was said to be a rip-off of another classic sit-com, Living Single. However, those fans not watching the show did not make a dent on Friends ratings and fan-base.

Friends aired 236 episodes from 1994 to 2004 on NBC. It was reported that over 52 million viewers watched the Friends final. Also, the show was the second most popular show watched on Netflix. Fans were upset when the show was removed from Netflix in 2019. However, the removal was only because the show is moving to the HBO Max streaming service.

What is there to say?

“Guess you could call this the one where they all got back together. We are reuniting with David, Jennifer, Courteney, Matt, Lisa, and Matthew for an HBO Max special that will be programmed alongside the entire Friends library,” said Kevin Reilly, the chief content officer of HBO Max and president of TBS, TNT, and truTV. “I became aware of Friends when it was in the very early stages of development and then had the opportunity to work on the series many years later and have delighted in seeing it catch on with viewers generation after generation. It taps into an era when friends – and audiences – gathered together in real-time, and we think this reunion special will capture that spirit, uniting original and new fans.”  – Kevin Reilly
