Devonta Smith limps off field but still in play
Devonta Smith gave all Eagles fans a collective heart attack as he limped off field during a 11v11 snap. Afterall, there is cause to be concern as the young rookie was previously on the IR for problems with his knee. Hopefully, injuries will no longer become a concern for him as football moves into regular season play.
Then, the wide receiver began lifting his calf indicating some discomfort. So, the trainers immediately began giving his right leg and ankle a once over. At first glance, It appeared that he rolled his ankle.
After limping off the field and getting checked out by a trainer, DeVonta Smith just jogged on the sideline. Trainers determined he was okay to play. Smith did not appear to have any serious injury concerns. Now, he jogs and cuts on the sidelines showing his temporary set back did not effect his agility. Reports are stating that his discomfort may have just been a result of mild cramping. Of course, they will keep an eye on the young player to make sure it does not escalate any further.

The small, 170 pound wide receiver seems full of potential and will fit in quite nicely with the Eagles family. Philadelphia is definitely eager to see what this kid can do. Below is some footage of the young star in action.
