Daniel Craig has been a pillar throughout the James Bond franchise since taking on the mantle of the M6 spy. However, things may get a little tricky after he sustained an injury.
Most recently while on set the actor ended up needing surgery. The ankle injury is one that leaves many people questioning how severe it is. Daniel Craig has brought in massive numbers at the office since taking on the role. However, it would be no surprise it the actor would eventually decide to hang up the agent. At one point there were rumors of Idris Elba possibly picking up the mantle in a reboot.

“Daniel Craig will be undergoing minor ankle surgery resulting from an injury sustained during filming in Jamaica,” the official Twitter account for “Bond 25” announced on Wednesday. “Production will continue whilst Craig is rehabilitating for two weeks post-surgery.”
It’s reported that the 51-year-old actor hurt his ankle while attempting to film an action scene. However, this isn’t the first time he’s been injured while performing the James Bond persona. Previously the actor knocked out two teeth, sliced a fingertip, and hurt his knee all while playing Bond throughout the franchise. A person there to witness had this to say:
“This time, he slipped over on a dock and wiped out.”
The new James Bond film is set to be released in April 2020.
