A Bronx woman risked her life to party on the wild side.
Over the weekend, an unidentified woman went viral for trespassing at the Bronx Zoo in New York. In the video, the woman is seen climbing over an enclosure and stepping foot into lion territory.
She comes within feet of a male African lion, reports CBS News.
Luckily for the woman though, the lion did not attempt to attack her. Instead, the lion looks to be as confused as onlookers standing by, as the woman proceeds to dance around the enclosure.
The incident, which took place on Saturday, could have easily ended badly for the woman and the lion. When discussing the matter, zoo officials said they set restrictions for a reason.
“This action was a serious violation and unlawful trespass that could have resulted in serious injury or death. Barriers and rules are in place to keep both visitors, staff and animals safe. We have a zero tolerance policy on trespass and violation of barriers.”
Surprisingly, the woman who jumped into the lion cage managed to escape back to the other side of the enclosure. Police are currently in search of her.
They believe the woman was under the influence of drugs.
