Donald Glover, known as Childish Gambino is looking to cash in against Glassnote.
The multitalented artist is suing his former record label Glassnote Records over unpaid royalties. Pitchfork confirmed documents reflecting that a breach took place in a licensing agreement with Childish Gambino. At the moment it seems that Glover is looking to collect $10,000 from owed streaming royalties.
The lawsuit comes as a form of retaliation after Glassnote Records filed requesting a court-order arbiter handle the stalemate. In the complaint, it addresses an accusation that Childish Gambino claimed that he owned 95% of SoundExchange royalties when in fact the split is actually 50/45.
Glover released projects through Glassnote records from 2011 through 2016. Since then Gambino has signed with RCA.
