    PREMIERE: Munir Griffin – “Nonchalant”

Camden, NJ artist Munir Griffin is a saxophonist, songwriter, producer, and rapper who currently attends UCLA. He started playing saxophone at the age of 6 at his community center. His background is deeply rooted into the culture of Black music, especially as a front-runner of Westwood Village Entertainment Group.

Influenced by John Coltrane, Tupac, J Dilla, J.Cole and his legendary cousin, Rakim, Munir Griffin is preparing to drop his debut project for the world to see. In our HYPEFRESH premiere, the first track off the EP comes in the form of “Nonchalant.” The jazzy self-produced single features background vocals from Westwood Village members, and slick rhymes from Munir himself.

He hopes to inspire black college students with his body of work, while offering his refreshing sound to the industry.
