Came home today to my 1st NAACP IMAGE AWARD for my role in THE NEW EDITION STORY. Wow. Im just a girl from Brooklyn, my mom born & raised in the Marcy projects, proving everyday that hard work pays off. Don’t let anyone put u in a box‼️I’ve heard so many times “you can’t be an actress, u used to be a radio personality or an mtv vj” 🙄LISTEN CAREFULLY…YOU CAN BE WHOEVER AND WHATEVER YOU WANT TO BE but YOU have to believe it first‼️Don’t let the outside noise distract you or discourage you! I’m just going to keep pushing myself out that box that so many people want to keep me in! Thank you NAACP, @jessecollinsent, @bet, & @mrrobotodirector for believing in me 🙏🏽 WOW🙏🏽 #blessed
