Celebrity feuds usually happen over the smallest thing. A fight could result even from a simple misunderstanding. After City Girls’ Young Miami and Lil Uzi Vert’s Instagram Livestream, things went south quickly. Young Miami’s boyfriend Southside especially had plenty to say about the video. Apparently, Southside didn’t care for how Lil Uzi Vert addressed Young Miami during the livestream and made sure he knew it. Soon, Southside posted a video of his own, putting Lil Uzi Vert in his place. Though, City Girls argued that Vert didn’t disrespect anyone.
Young Miami & Lil Uzi Vert’s Instagram Livestream
Social media sometimes makes life easier. Other times, it’s downright confusing. City Girls’ Young Miami and Lil Uzi Vert’s Instagram Live left many outraged. For one, many fans claimed that the pink-diamond-bearing rapper Lil Uzi Vert disrespected Young Miami during their livestream.
During the video, Young Miami stated that her and Vert weren’t friends. The statement, however, triggered a negative response from the emo rapper. Lil Uzi Vert put Young Miami in her place as he repeatedly called her by offstage name “Caresha.” The other half of the City Girls’ JT, who’s reportedly dating Vert, tried to descalate the situation but failed. At one point, Lil Uzi Vert tells his girlfriend to “shut up JT.”
In subsequent tweets, JT revealed that her boyfriend had been drunk at the time and attempted to stop him from saying anymore. Furthermore, all parties confirmed that no one had any beef with each other. Though, fans didn’t see it that way and neither did Young Miami’s baby-daddy Southside.
Southside Puts Lil Uzi Vert In His Place
As mentioned before, Young Miami’s boyfriend didn’t appreciate the disrespect Lil Uzi Vert showed to her in the livestream. Moreover, Southside put Lil Uzi Vert in his place after posting a video of himself addressing Vert’s comments toward his girlfriend. The rapper immediately tore the emo emcee a new one as he threatened to “slap the dog s*** out of him” for disrespecting Young Miami. Arguably, Southside’s excessive usage of the phrase “my b****” when referring to Young Miami comes off disrespectful as well. Seems like these rappers don’t know how to properly refer to their women without objectifying them in some way. Maybe both parties need to be checked.
What do you think? Did Lil Uzi Vert disrespect Young Miami? Did Southside need to put the emo rapper in his place?
