HYPEFRESH: Could you tell us how it all began? What encouraged you to start playing and making music?

Yung Dub D: It all began when I was nine years old. My cousins and I formed a group, four of us, in the toy room at my grandma’s house. The thing that encouraged me was others doubting me, making me work hard on my craft.

HYPEFRESH: Talk me through your creative process when you write new music.

Yung Dub D: My creative process is enjoyable because I go into the studio and make everything from scratch with nothing written down, and it’s more exciting for me to learn my lyrics as everyone else!

HYPEFRESH: Can you tell us about your new “Heal“?

Yung Dub D: Check out my new single “Heal.” It’s a song about love and healing in relationships, aiming to help others in their own healing process. It’s relatable and emphasizes the importance of healing.

HYPEFRESH: What do you like most about being a music artist?

Yung Dub D: Telling stories and experiences and being free to be me in the studio.

HYPEFRESH: What projects do you have coming up?

Yung Dub D: I currently have two more projects I’m working on: “A 10.2 secs Ep” and “Love 3 album”. The dates still need to be set, but they may kick off at the beginning of next year! Can you give us any info on them?

HYPEFRESH: Any advice for aspiring musicians?

Yung Dub D: Yes, my advice is to keep pushing no matter what others say and stay consistent and persistent with your craft. Follow what you love.

HYPEFRESH: How do you solve productivity/scheduling problems and reduce overwhelming situations?

Yung Dub D: Having time-critical tactic management by making sure everything lines up according because everything could fall apart without structure. Because if your timing is right, overcoming situations will not occur.

HYPEFRESH: Name Three things you can’t live without when recording in the studio.

Yung Dub D: Three things I can’t live without in the studio are my family, my ambition, and the dedication that gives me the drive in the studio.
