Young Thug’s Weapons case Has Been Dismissed

Young Thug’s weapons case is being tossed out.

According to TMZ, the D.A.’s office was unsuccessful in finding any DNA evidence linking back to Thug, which certainly would have been the cherry on top to the case they were attempting to build around the rapper. As it turns out, it was pretty hard to name Thug as the owner of the weapons. Furthermore being as though there were three suspects in the car at the time of the incident.

In a statement released by Thug’s lawyer, Michael Goldstein, it commands the D.A. for doing the right thing, and not condemning his client for something he’s innocent of. The statement reads, “I commend the District Attorney’s Office for making the right decision after carefully reviewing the facts and body worn video over the past 9 months. The fact so much time and work went into this decision reinforces trust in our system of justice.”

The initial weapons case came about after a vehicle, Thug was riding in, collided with a police car. At the time of the accident, the police proceeded to search the other vehicle involved, which is when the weapons were first located.

The D.A. has also concluded that that the police cruiser was at fault in the crash.
