In the last few years, police brutality against the black community has become more prevalent. Organizations like The Black Lives Matter Movement have called out these injustices against Black America. They’ve fought for justice and the equal rights of Black people everywhere. Additionally, individuals and businesses have shown their support for the organization. Even celebrities like Viola Davis and Megan Thee Stallion have offered their support for the movement. Unfortunately, some celebrities like Ye view the activist group as a scam.
Recently, the “Heartbreaker” rapper and conservative commentator, Candace Owens, trolled the movement with “White Lives Matter” shirts.
Ye Parades Around In “White Lives Matter” Shirt
Kanye West may be on an entirely other level of rap genius. However, the same can’t be said about him outside of his music. Recently, the rapper made another “fashion statement” during Paris Fashion Week. Though, this time he crossed the line.
On Monday, the rapper wore a “White Lives Matter” long-sleeve shirt during the event. His models even wore the shirts in promotion of his YZY brand! Furthermore, the phrase itself emerged from white supremacist groups and sympathizers as a racist response to the Black Lives Movement.
Unfortunately, Ye has even voiced his racist attitudes about the organization, even going as far as calling it a scam. Even worse, he even once claimed that 400 years of slavery and oppression never happened. Arguably, it’s sad when our own people don’t educate themselves enough to know their history.
He Teamed Up With His Partner-In-Crime
As if the rapper hasn’t caused enough havoc with his antics, conservative commentator, Candace Owens, also wore a “White Lives Matter” shirt. Keep in mind, Owens also talked down about Ye’s ex-wife Kim Kardashian ahead of Paris Fashion Week. Furthermore, Owens trolled just as hard as Ye after she posted photos of her “outfit” on Instagram. Additionally, the conservative commentator even shared a picture of her smiling at Ye, wearing the shirts with the racist slogan. This is wrong in so many ways.
