That might be your next question after learning about the death of one of the world’s most famous furry feline friends. After a long life of sad looks that miraculously lifted people’s spirits, Grumpy Cat is climbing the stairway to heaven. Tabatha, Grumpy Cats owner and mother announced the news that the beloved cat coughed up it’s last fur ball on Tuesday.

According to the announcement, which came via Twitter, Tabatha say’s that the kitty, also known as Tardar Sauce, died due to health complications. It states that after a difficult battle with a urinary tract infection, things just became “too tough for her to overcome.” According to TMZ’s math, Grumpy Cat lived to be 45-years-old in human years…or 7-years-old in cat years.
If you’ve never heard of Grumpy, then it’s safe to say that she was quite the famous four-legged creature. She appeared in countless Hollywood projects like Grumpy Cat’s Worst Christmas Ever, and commercials for Friskies and Honey Nut Cheerios.
For Grumpy Cats millions of fans, Tabatha reassures them that she died peacefully at home, surrounded by her family. She leaves behind her family Tabatha, Bryan, and Chyrstal.
