NBA Finals 2022 Matchups
There are only four teams that remain throughout the NBA Playoffs and only two can advance to the NBA Finals 2022. The teams set to play in the Eastern Conference Finals (ECF) and Western Conference Finals (WCF) will have a few days to rest from their previous NBA Playoffs schedule. Then they will be set to play tonight, May 17 at 8:30 P.M. EST to start the NBA Finals 2022.
Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors are set to take on Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks. While Jayson Tatum and the Boston Celtics take on Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat. This series should be very exciting based on the simple fact, that these teams match up really well with one another.
Boston Celtics vs. Miami Heat (ECF)
Tatum has come into himself within the last year or so and is really elevating the Celtics over that hump. While they’ve been competitive within the past 10 years making the ECFs three times. However, they have yet to advance to the NBA championship and have a real opportunity to do so. This team arguably from top to bottom is the best well-rounded team currently in the playoffs. This team has depth, defense, superstars, and players capable of 20 plus on any given night. Not to mention, their exceptional HC Ime Udoka who should have been in the running for the coach of the year (COTY) award.
While taking this into account, Miami isn’t pushovers either. They match up well against the Celtics and they have experience on their side. Both teams seem to be fairly healthy, except the Heat star PG Kyle Lowry still remains to be hurt.
Nonetheless, The Celtics should take care of business in this series! The Celtics will win in six and that young core will advance to the NBA Finals for the first time in their career.
Golden State Warriors vs. Dallas Mavericks (WCF)
While Doncic has performed out of his mind, the Warriors teams simply are on another level. Many believe he can provide the Warriors matchup problems yet, his supporting cast isn’t as talented. The Warriors not only have more experience but they also have the talented and gifted roster to play so many games with their lineup that can affect Dallas’s game plan. The Mavericks HC Jason Kidd laid out the blueprint to defeat the hottest team in the league this year, the Phoenix Suns. However, without the talent level of players, many believe this NBA Finals 2022 series will be an uphill battle.
I predict the Warriors will win this series in five games. While Doncic will put up a fight and make it look good; however, the Warriors possess just too much for the Mavs to handle. In conclusion, my predictions going forward the Golden State Warriors and the Boston Celtics will face-off in the NBA Finals 2022.
