It all started with a simple Facebook argument that quickly escalated. I was shocked to see a picture of a knife and a post hinting at tracking someone’s location.     I’m not the only one who has faced death threats on Twitter or Facebook. Many public figures like Sue Perkins, a British actress, experienced threats when suggested to star on Top Gear. British soccer star Danny Welbeck received around 1,700 abusive messages, nearly half of which were racist. Even Kim Kardashian West and Chadwick Boseman dealt with threats and trolling.     What do you do if you face online threats or harassment? While Facebook and Twitter have reporting options, they might not always be enough for your safety. Depending on the seriousness of the threat, involving law enforcement or seeking support from someone you trust may be necessary.
