Is There Something Wrong With Using Groupon On A Date?

On Tuesday, 25-year-old Tiffany Nunn from New York took to Twitter to express her opinion of a guy using Groupon on their date…and let’s just say Twitter did not agree.

She claimed that she would leave her date if she found out Groupon was being used to pay for it. It wasn’t long before her tweet blew up, sparking debate on the social media site. From the looks of it, it seems like the majority of Twitter users are confused by Nunn’s statement, saying there is nothing wrong with using the coupon service.

You’re probably thinking, hmm…this conversation has happened before. Well, that’s because it has. More than once. In fact, it happens all the time. It wasn’t too long ago that people were downing dates at Red Lobster and TGI Fridays. We live in a generation where we believe we’re too good for certain things. It’s unfortunate how the focus is always on stunting for other people rather than simply just enjoying yourself and having a good time.

I’m genuinely surprised that there’s even Groupon slander. Like, have you ever used Groupon? It gives you the opportunity to do things you might not usually afford otherwise at a discounted price. It doesn’t even have to be because you can’t afford it. You might just want to save your pockets, and who doesn’t want to do that?
