BUWA RETURNS WITH MUSIC VIDEO FOR ‘EMINLO’ FROM DEBUT EP ‘OLU’

Canadian-based Nigerian singer, songwriter and poet BUWA is not resting on his laurels in 2020. He kickstarts the new year, with the excellent new music video for ‘EMINLO’, one of the standout tracks from his Olu EP.

Produced by frequent collaborator SizzlePRO, ‘Eminlo’ is is a sultry jazz soul offering with superb R&B sensibilities. Underpinned by lush saxophone arrangements, minimalist drum patterns, pining harmonies, and Buwa’s undeniable vocal performance. Buwa is opening up about a hard relationship that, was very difficult to come out of.

“this track talks about having the strength to finally leave an abusive and toxic relationship. You know it is very hard but you still can’t find the strength to leave”.

Vancouver filmmaker Raymond Knight was chosen to direct the visuals for ‘Eminlo’. He captured “the personal struggle and anguish it can often take to get out of a toxic relationship, even when you know it’s the best thing for you”.

Buwa is an exciting modern soul artist, with pop and R&B sensibilities and a penchant for storytelling. He also channels into poetry and performance art. Buwa has also just finished leading a stage production of Hairspray and Chicago in Canada.
