    The fashion world has lost one of its most fabulous designers, Virgil Abloh. In 2018, at the age of 41, the designer became the first Black artistic director of Louis Vuitton’s menswear. Additionally, Abloh was the founder of the Milan-based label Off -White that started in 2012.

    Born and raised outside of Chicago in the 1980s, the designer began getting into fashion at a young age. His mom was a seamstress and taught him what he needed to know early on. However, he graduated in civil engineering and earned his master’s degree in architecture. During his master’s at ITT, that’s when the fashion designer interest peaked and opened his gateway into fashion.

    Abloh created a style that differentiated him from others in the industry. From his runway shows to celebrity looks, Abloh’s designs are intricate and unique.
