Victoria Monét Is Definitely A Summer Vibe

Victoria Monét is giving us all a Moment with her stellar new single “Coastin.” The Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter is not disappointing with this feel-good soundtrack, and according to Respect Magazine, ‘It is set to be a summer hit with a funky bassline, laid-back feel.’

The 70’s inspired track incorporates Keni Burke’s “Risin’ to the Top” and is infused with nostalgic vibes. The music video features skateboarders and roller-skaters grooving in retro clothing and lavish hair, proving that the 70s is present in 2020.

The Sacramento-born artist reps the West Coast hard, emphasizing that the song is an ode to California. In a press statement, Victoria Monét goes into detail about her summer hit:

“If sunshine and a good time (and maybe a lil drank) were a song, it would be ‘Coastin’…”It’s made for people with that good, chill energy and the bassline instantly puts you in a certain feel! Shoutout to the Stereotypes for killing this production. We wanted this song to represent that freedom to finally go outside. After the year we’ve had, it feels even better to be able to finally Coast freely, make unforgettable memories and have a good ass time. Might I add it sounds especially good in the car, poolside or near any beach. Press play and let’s Coast!”

And many people are receiving the vibes she’s giving

When Victoria Monét is not raising eyebrows with her sexual prowess and nostalgic music, she is working behind the scenes. Known mainly for her friendship and work with Ariana Grande, the chameleon is responsible for some of the biggest hits of our time.
