Savannah Guthrie is currently being dragged up and down Twitter for interviewing Nick Sandmann.
Early this week, Sandmann led a racist confrontation against Native Americans in a march for indigenous people. Savannah Guthrie then conducted an interview with the leader of the MAGA kids who antagonized a group of native Americans, Nick Sandmann. Sandman, in particular, had a stare down with Native American elder, Nathan Philips which sparked a load of unwanted controversy and question.
In the interview, Sandmann said:
“I would say Mr. Phillips had his right to come up to me. I had my right to stay there. Our school was slandered by the African Americans who had called us all sorts of things.”
The entire interview made it seem as though the Native Americans were the issue in the confrontation. It also gave Sandmann a chance to spread his hate. And people on Twitter were not here for it!
As a person of color I can see that there is no justice for us because people like @SavannahGuthrie normalize harrasment towards minorities. By giving softball interviews and passing that off as journalism she enforces the #fakenews narrative. #resign

In addition to these posts, Guthrie deserves all the backlash that she is getting. She gave a junior white supremacist a voice on National television.
She went out of her way to make him look like the victim. Therefore, she deserves her dragging. In fact, everyone who gives a platform to a white supremacist as she did deserves to be dragged for miles!
Furthermore, this is not how you fight white supremacy. You do not coddle white supremacists and give them a platform. You call them out on their bullshit and let everyone know its wrong. Guthrie, however, did not do that.
But, what do you think of this dragging? Do you agree with these points? Let us know with a comment below and for more news, keep it locked to hypefresh.co!
