Due to to the flop of the 1997 Spawn movie, Todd McFarlane vowed to make sure that this one better. The 1997 adaptation of Spawn wasn’t the best. Its budget was 40 million dollars, and it made over 80 million dollars for its time in theaters.  Even though it made 40 million dollars over its budget, it still wasn’t the movie the fans wanted. Also, if done correctly, it could have made way more money. Mcfarlane promises fans that news about the movie will be coming soon and to be patient.

This movie will be starring Jamie Foxx as Al Simmons/Spawn and Jeremy Renner as detective Twitch. The film is rumored to be different from any other comic movie. Therefore, it will be a horror movie, and you will rarely see Foxx’s Spawn. You will get Renner’s Twitches POV ( point of view), as he investigates the actions of Spawn.

The Joker may be the reason the movie comes out.

Thanks to the success of R-rated comic movies like Logan and The Joker, The Spawn movie is most likely to happen. Todd will not give up, and fans are cheering him on. Todd McFarlane is writing the script and directing the movie, even if he has no directing experience. In 2017 McFarlane cut a deal with Blumhouse production to create the script. Now, all we have to do is wait for someone to pick it up.
