    Historic Win For Dembow

Thanks to Bad Bunny’s song ‘Tití Me Preguntó’ it’s giving recognition to Dembow at the Latin Grammys. Originating in the Dominican Republic, the genre of Dembow takes its name from the anti-imperialist (and unfortunately antigay) anthem. From the Jamaican dancehall artist Shabba Ranks ‘Dem Bow’.

This is a huge win for this genre because is getting the recognition it deserves. Although it has noticeable artists like ‘El Alfa‘ and ‘Tokischa‘.

With this, Bad Bunny made the song ‘Tití Me Preguntó’, marking the return of a Dominican Dembow after ‘La Romana‘.

According to Rolling Stone, this track is reaching back in time and samples OG romancer and bachata legend Anthony Santos. As well as tell telling of many ‘novias’ in a fusion of trap and dembow. Also noting he missed an opportunity to collaborate with another dembowsero from the Dominican Republic. Rolling Stone said that he proves he’s committed to the relationship of the genre.

Bad Bunny is also making records cause he recently got nominated for the Grammy in the category of Album of the Year. He’s the first Latino to ever be nominated in said category.
