Miss Tina Knowles can make a mean outfit, but word around is that she can whip up an even better gumbo meal.
The mother who gave birth to two superstars, Beyonce and Solange, is showing people what she should really be famous for. For Vivica A Fox’s 55th birthday celebration, Tina spared no expense, as she fed Vivica, and guests, a meal fit for a black princess. That’s right, Tinal Knowles gumbo did just the trick.
Vivica Fox turned 55-years-old on Tuesday, and had a princess-themed birthday bash in the Hollywood Hills. There to help celebrate were a bunch of Vivica’s friends, including Magic Johnson’s wife Cookie, LL Cool J’s wife Simone Smith, and Regina King.
But the best part about the whole day was probably having Tina Knowles back there in the kitchen working her wrists.
Mama Knowles catered the 55th birthday party, with some true down south Louisiana cooking. We don’t have the complete menu, but according to The Blast, Tina cooked up some of her legendary gumbo. And she served that legendary gumbo off of Versace dinner dishes, that cost $325 a plate.
The night looked lovely, and Tina made sure to capture it’s beauty. She posted a photo on Instagram, and called out Vivica for being a genuine good spirit.
“Last night we had a gumbo dinner and Birthday celebration for the beautiful Vivaca [sic] Fox. Who is always giving of her time, love , support and generosity to everyone she meets . She truly leaves everything she touches a better place. So i wanted to honor her.”
Vivica wrote back, thanking Tina:
“GM Dawlings! #AboutLastNite The AMAZING @mstinalawson threw me an AWESOME YUMMY Gumbo LA Versace Bday dinner! LUVS HER TONS…”
