As many already know, President Trump has passed a ban on the video app TikTok. He does this in fear of the Chinese ownership of the platform. He also believes that TikTok is using user information. Out of all the things going on in the world right now, why is this the most important thing Trump feels the need to take care of right now?
Anyway, now that TikTok is going away this September, what does that mean for the TikTok influencers? Many teenagers have literally built careers off this app. They are able to generate revenue and gain a whole lot of fame from it.
Teenagers such as Charli D’Amelio and Addison Rae are two examples of TikTok stars that have taken their fame to the top. With no TikTok, what does this mean for them? Maybe they’ll have to get a real job like the rest of us.
Many have noticed Instagram’s new feature called “reels” which are very similar to TikTok videos. Maybe this will be the new TikTok Americans can spend hours a day watching videos on their phone with.
There are also rumors that social medias such as Twitter are starting to look into buying the app. If an American company doesn’t buy TikTok by the ban date, then it’s so long to teenagers dancing to weird songs.
