Tiger Woods Wins the Masters and a Presidential Medal of Freedom

Tiger Woods is the talk of the golfing world.

After several years of hardship– one a cheating scandal, and the other a DUI arrest– the 43-year-old golfer has just won his first major tournament win in over 11 years. On Sunday, Woods walked away with his fifth Master’s title, making it his 15th title win. Some are saying Tiger’s victory is one of the greatest comebacks from a professional athlete in the history of sports, reports TMZ.

During the Green jacket ceremony, Woods seems to agree:

“Last year I was very lucky to be playing again. At the previous Champions Dinner, I was really struggling and missed a couple of years of not playing this great tournament and now I’m the champion. Twenty-two years between wins, it’s a long time and it’s unreal for me to experience this. My mom was here, she was there in 1997 as well. I’m just so happy and excited and I’m at a loss for words.”

Woods’ victory was such an amazing feat that even the President wants to congratulate him. President Trump is giving Woods the highest medal a U.S. civilian– the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

Thoughts? How do you feel about Tiger Woods’ latest victory? Does he deserve the medal from Trump? Leave your comments below.
