TIDAL is having their 4th annual TIDAL X: BROOKLYN philanthropic concert, held on Oct. 23. This year, concert goers can expect a jam-packed lineup of some of today’s best artists. Recently announced, the concert will headline big acts like Lil Wayne, Meek Mill, Lauryn Hill, Teyana Taylor, and more.

Other acts will include artists like Kodak Black, Blocboy JB, Vic Mensa, Quuen Naija, Arin Ray, and a few others. In the past, TIDAL has used proceeds to help specific organizations improve social justice, education, disaster relief, and recovery. This year, 100% of the money is said to be going towards prison reform. Organizations such as REFORM and Equal Justice will benefit directly from the money earned.

Tidal hosted their first concert in 2015, and has helped raise millions each year. The show will take place at the Barclays Center, and tickets are on sale now.

Meek Mill, recently became a major voice for prison reform. The rapper was arrested earlier this year for violating the terms of his parole. Many artists like Jay-Z and T.I. rallied together in support of his case.

“I gotta say something about a young man named Meek Mill. He caught a charge, he was about 19, he’s 30 now, he’s been on probation 11 years. Fucking 11 years,” Jay-Z said during a concert in Dallas, TX. “Now he got to do two to four years [for a probation violation] because he got arrested being on a bike popping a fucking wheelie.”

‘Britain’s Got Talent’ Semi-Finalist Jamie Lee Harrison Releases ‘Powerful’ Single

Fast-rising British singer, songwriter and musician JAMIE LEE HARRISON is back with his brand new single titled ‘Powerful’, which is the first taste of a new selection of music from the 24-year old Newcastle-born musician, more of which will be released in 2019. The new single comes on the back of Jamie Lee Harrison’s recent UK tour earlier in the year, and his main stage performance in front of 20,000 people, at this summer’s Newcastle Pride, alongside Alexandra Burke.

You might remember Jamie Lee Harrison from last year’s Britain’s Got Talent, where he captured the nation with his rendition of R.E.M’s ‘Everybody Hurts’, which has now been viewed over 2 million times on YouTube. He went on to the semifinals of that show, but Jamie’s passion for music was evident long before that, and has always been his lifeblood, the singer, songwriter and musician has over 1500 gigs around the world, under his belt, and reached number eight in the official UK independent singles chart with his debut single ‘When We Meet’.

His new single ‘Powerful’ opens up as a strong slow building piano-led ballad, backed by lush string arrangements, before exploding into an infectious guitar and piano-heavy pop soul offering, over which Jamie Lee Harrison delivers a strong and impassioned rallying call for listeners to unlock their inner strengths, overcome their fears and break through boundaries. The song is brought to life and held together excellently, by Jamie’s powerful vocal showing, purposeful songwriting, and heartfelt performance.

Speaking about the inspiration behind ‘Powerful’, Jamie Lee Harrison says, “I wrote the song about overcoming my own personal fears and breaking through boundaries; battling the lack of self-belief that has held me back. I believe that every single person has a fire inside them, a passion and drive to fulfil. Some of us need help to ignite it. The message is that each individual is powerful in their own way. We can take control of that power, whether it’s gaining the courage to achieve our goals or just being comfortable in our own skin”.

Cardi B Gives Winter Coats to Massive Crowd In New York City

Cardi B was spotted in New York City getting her Mrs. Clause on.

The rapper gave hundreds of winter coats to a freezing crowd in Marlboro Houses– a public housing complex in Brooklyn. The giveaway was organized by a local designer and the help Cardi’s friends.

Although it was a good turnout, the rap star was said to have arrived late. Families stood in line for hours waiting for the rap star, who was supposed to have arrived at 5 p.m.. Bardi blamed the late arrival on a photoshoot she had been at earlier in the day.

However, once there, the crowd went crazy for the rapper of “Bodak Yellow.” “I think she’s unbelievable, and I think it’s great she’s doing this for the less fortunate,” said Dana Spear of Gravesend.

Unfortunately, the turnout was too large. By the end of the night, Cardi B ran out of coats to donate, and those in the back of the line were sent home.

The event ended with Cardi being given a key to Brooklyn.

Super Bowl LIII: Rihanna Denies Opportunity to Headline 2019 Show

There are plenty of ways to pledge your allegiance to what’s right. And, Rihanna just so happens to prefer to do so by turning down a check.

Sources close to the singer confirmed that she was approached by the Super Bowl in regards to a performance. The Super Bowl, which is expected to host their big game in February 2019, asked Rihanna to be the headliner. But the star turned their offer down.

Rihanna decided that next year’s game is no place for her to take the stage. It’s reported that she doesn’t agree with how the NFL has handled the situation involving Colin Kaepernick. The NFL has been very vocal in their stance against athletes kneeling during the U.S. national anthem– a form of protest sparked in 2016 by Kaepernick in order to stop racial injustice in America.

One source told US Weekly that, “the offer and exposure would have been great for Rihanna as she’s planning a new album and tour but she stuck to what’s right in her eyes.”

As of now Maroon 5 has been selected to headline the half-time show.
