The Weekend took to Twitter to let fans know that he’ll be ushering in a “new era” for his music. Additionally, he’s tweeted musings from his upcoming album, writing phrases like “the dawn is coming.” A few weeks prior, he let fans know that his music will be “a full body of work” and that it’s near completion. Sources suspect that it won’t be long now before we hear near music from The Weekend. Moreover, HipHop-N-More even suggested that Abel might be dropping his new record as early as this summer. Fans can hardly wait.

    Any die-hard fan knows that The Weekend doesn’t just change up his musical style when dropping new music. He changes his whole aesthetic. Hyping up the news surrounding his new music drop even more, The Weekend wiped his Instagram clean. On the night of July 31, the Canadian artist took to Twitter again to tell his fans “to say your last goodbyes” to his old music and ‘hello’ to the new era. As of yet, The Weekend’s Instagram remains a clean slate. Though, fans can rest assured that new music is on the way.
