    Disney Announces A New Obi Wan Kenobi Series

    Since Disney decided to hop on the video streaming band wagon, they’ve up their game. Disney’s Star Wars content especially has fans everywhere signing up for their streaming service. Who couldn’t resist binge-watching a Stars Wars series like The Mandalorian or the 2020 film The Rise of Skywalker? Obviously, the new films will never compare to George Lucas’s classics back in the 90s. Though, there’s one favorite character Disney has revived from the old movies. Die-hard Star Wars fans won’t want to miss the upcoming Obi Wan Kenobi Series hitting Disney Plus next year.

    Any true fan of the Star Wars saga knows it’s more than just a couple of films and comic books. The franchise has basically become a pop culture phenomenal. People can’t stop saying “Let the Force be with you.” That’s how big of a franchise Star Wars has become. However, Disney has taken the franchise to an entirely new level.

    Star Wars has received a major “face lift” with the release of several comic books, series and films. Additionally, Disney Plus plans to release another round of Star Wars shows.

    Furthermore, Disney Plus has announced the release for the upcoming Obi Wan Kenobi series. The actual series will take place 10 years after the events that unfolded in Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. In the film, Obi Wan Kenobi loses his apprentice, Anakin Skywalker to the Dark Side, who then becomes Darth Vader. More juicy details reveal that filming will begin this April. Moreover, an official release date will be announced in 2022. Star Wars fans won’t want to miss the new Disney Plus series.

    Of course, the Obi Wan Kenobi series wouldn’t be the same without the iconic actor Ewan McGregor. The A-lister has reprised his role as the honorable Jedi and fans wouldn’t have it any other way. Additionally, Hayden Christensen will reprise his role as Anakin Skywalker-turned-Darth Vader in the new series. Looks like the Jedi will have to face off with his student yet again.

    The Obi-Wan Kenobi series has two amazing actors returning to their roles, and there are other talented cast members joining the show too. StarWars.com announced the cast, which includes Moses Ingram, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse and Benny Safdie. The Star Wars franchise keeps expanding and thrilling fans daily.
