After being snubbed from the Grammy’s Best R&B Album Category, Teyana Taylor is thinking about a career change.
The extremely talented Teyana Taylor is thinking about retiring from her music career because the Grammy’s got it wrong again.
Taylor posted on her Instagram page her 2020 Artist Wrapped from Spotify to show the spectacular streaming numbers she received from all of her fans. She went to thank her fans for their support, but also alluding to retirement when she writes: “I’m retiring this chapter of my story with the comfort that I can depart with peace of mind seeing that all the hard work& passion put in was indeed loved & supported somewhere in the world!”

Teyana Taylor’s latest album titled “The Album” was released on Juneteenth of 2019, and debuted at No. 8 on the Billboard 200 chart and debuted at No.6 on the top R&B chart. That wasn’t her first time topping charts and leading the pack as an artist. Her previous album, “K.T.S.E.” debuted at No. 2 on the R&B charts in 2018. In 2014, she led the charts for one week with her album “VII”. Taylor is a talented artist and she deserves a nomination from the uncomprehending Grammy’s.
She has recently received support from another star artist in the entertainment world. Cardi B went to Twitter to let Teyana Taylor know that she is appreciated. She wrote, “If you know me then you know Teyana Taylor’s album it’s my favorite of 2020,”.

Teyana Taylor is a modern day renaissance woman. She is an amazing artist, director, actress, entrepreneur, among other things. If she does retire from music, she will be fine with her other talents. I just wish she would not let the Grammy’s, a collective that continues to misconstrue our culture every year, force her in to retirement.
