Are you waiting for the next Telfar bag to drop? The good news is you don’t have to wait for that email campaign to settle any longer. You are in luck. Telfar is opening its first brick and mortar store in New York City.
Telfar’s alternative brand is more than meets the eye. His line fully embraces Black culture and has proven that trendy Black-owned goods can fit under the fashion category of luxury. Teflar is making a mark, from creating high-end, affordable luxury bags to collaborating with other high-end brands like UGGs. If you haven’t seen his signature Telfar bags, they have been spotted on HBO’s Insecure and Euphoria .
The former DJ focuses his creativity on curating a space for gender inclusivity. Popular opinion: unisex clothing should be just as dope as gendered specified clothing. Teflar’s unapologetic designs and campaigns go beyond the norm; Clemens is all about challenging the status quo and births ideas based on his values and beliefs.
“One thing I’ll never do is seek validation from anyone. I’m just trying to keep things as me as possible.”
Telfar Clemens spills the tea on his new flagship store during an appearance on The Breakfast Club.
“There is one coming, we’re opening a store this year in New York City. We’re still deciding where that’s going to be. I don’t want to say too much about it but it’s opening this year.”

This upcoming fashion mogul has brought to light the reoccurring and controversial topic of the cost of his newest bag design, The Circle bag, which cost $567. He addressed the public by reminding consumers that “other Designer bags are way more expensive.”
