Teen Gamer In UK Saved By Online Friend In US

On January 2nd of this year, 17-year-old Aidan Jackson in the UK was saved by an online friend after having a seizure. Furthermore, the online friend came to be a 20-year-old woman living in Texas in the US named Dia Lathora. In news reports, the two friends were playing an online game when the incident happened.

Aidan Jackson was playing an online game with Dia when he started to feel sick. Within a short period of time, Dia noticed her friend was not responding. She began hearing Aidan having a seizure through the game console they were playing on. At the time she heard this, Dia tried to see if Aidan would give her a response through the game.

Eventually, Dia began to look up what the emergency number was in UK when she got no response from Aidan. News reports mentioned how Dia had Aidan’s address but not his phone number.

“After he didn’t reply, I immediately searched for the EU emergency number,” Dia told Liverpool Echo. “When that didn’t work, I tried the non-emergency number, hoping to speak to a real person. I clicked that button swiftly.”

Caroline, Aidan’s mother, had received a call within a short time about what was happening to her son. She was confussed but then went to check on Aidan. The mother had walked into Aidan’s room and saw what was happening to her son. Aidan was soon rushed to the hospital and was treated for his seizure.

Aidan had a seizure less than a year prior.

It turns out, this was not the only time Aidan had a seizure. In May of 2019, Aidan was rushed to the hospital for a seizure. At the time, he had stayed in the hospital for a week before being let go.

Aidan seems to be doing well after being treated in the hospital for his seizure. In the end, Aidan as well as his parents have thanked Dia for the help.
