Recently, HipHop legend DMX passed away over severe health complications. Several members from the HipHop community have expressed their grievances and utter shock at the rapper’s death. Even some stars like Machine Gun Kelly and T.I talked of DMX’s rap poweress and the legacy he left behind. However, others like Irv Gotti have downright disrespected DMX, even in death. Some people didn’t take kindly to Gotti’s DMX drug overdose comment, especially not Swizz Beats and 50 Cent.
Irv Gotti’s DMX Drug Overdose Comment
It goes without saying that no one should ever talk ill about the dead. Moreover, no one should ever talk badly about iconic rap stars like DMX. However, Irv Gotti didn’t seem to care either way after the DMX drug overdose comment he made during a recent interview. The Murder Inc boss told 107.5 WGCI that DMX’s drug overdose had been caused by a “bad batch”. “They said it was a bad dose of crack and they said some drug Fentanyl was mixed with the crack and that’s what made him overdose,” the rapper said. Keep in mind that he claims all this information came from DMX’s family.
Furthermore, Irv Gotti claimed that DMX had contracted Covid-19 at the time he was admitted to the hospital. Of course, not too many people took too kindly to Gott’s insensitive comments. Moreover, reports show that DMX did not have the virus. Irv Gotti needs to get his facts straight.
Swizz Beats & 50 Cent Call Him Out
Not too many people took kindly to Irv Gotti’s DMX drug overdose comments. Even big time emcees had plenty to say about Gotti’s character and ignorance. For one, Swizz Beats took to social media to say this about The Murder Inc boss. “Bozo moves can’t lie.” Beats’ comment came as a response to 50 Cent’s remarks, who basically roasted Gotti. “This guy is an idoit, did he just say DMX died from smoking crack and Fentanyl! Why would he say that?” That’s the question on everyone’s minds.
