Swae Lee Shades Millyz Eminem Stan Flip

The rappers of Rae Sremmurd have made it clear that they’re not afraid to flip classic hits and make a whole new version of them. The duo has already done the hard work with their own versions of “River” and “Clout” as well as a remix to Drake’s “Nelly” called “Luv U Better.”

Millyz released the song last week, reworking the iconic hook that came from Dido’s 2001 hit, “Thank You.” It instantly became a hit with fans on social media, and now Swae Lee has thrown some shade at Millyz’s flip of Eminem’s Stan.

He’s got a better version on the way

Ahead of their third album, Rae Sremmurd is set to drop a triple-album project that includes solo projects by both Slim Jxmmi and Swae Lee. They’ll also feature guest appearances from The Weeknd, Future, Travis Scott, Juicy J and more.

    He’s a versatile and multi-hyphenated talent

One of the key aspects of Rae Sremmurd’s music is their ability to adapt to multiple genres in the course of a single song. In particular, the group combines a variety of hip-hop styles with their R&B influence, and that’s how Swae Lee and his brother, Slim Jxmmi, manage to keep their sound fresh.

Throughout their career, Rae Sremmurd have had to defend themselves against criticism from mainstream critics, who say their style is too simple or their lyrics don’t have enough complexity. The brothers have steadfastly refused to let those comments deter them from creating a truly unique sound.
