Supernatural Prequel, The Winchesters, is coming to CW
Supernatural fans don’t have to say goodbye to their favorite brothers. Supernatural’ prequel ‘The Winchesters’ airing on The CW to fill the hole left from Supernatral’s 15 season conclusion. The project comes from Jensen & Danneel Ackles. The Winchesters, is written/executive produced by former co-executive producer Robbie Thompson. Unfortunately, Dean and Jared won’t reprise their roles in the Winchesters. Yet, the story does revolve around their parents. Jensen Ackles will narrate the story via voice over only.
What We Know from Supernatural’s Premise
During, the very beginning of Supernatural, the Viewer is aware very immediately, of Mary’s (their mother) demise. It occured when Sam was still a baby and was done so by a demon. Investigating her death, John becomes a hunter and then passes on his knowledge and skills to his sons. This is the agent that drives the brothers in their journey.
Now, the prequel, the Winchesters, wants to portray Mary and John’s relationship from before Supernatural. Jensen will recount how his parents John and Mary met and made a family tradition of saving the world through his voice over narrations.
Jared Padalecki is not in the show!
According to Entertainment Weekly, The story of the Winchesters is not over as the viewer is treated to the before Supernatural prequel of how John and Mary created the family that we’ve come to know in the original show. However, it may shock fans to know that Jared Padalecki is not going to be included.
So, if Padalecki won’t be featured in the Winchesters, what is he up to these days? Jared is currently staring and producing the show Walker. the successful show is entering it’s second season. Fortunately, it looks like CW will be benefiting from both stars yet again.
