Summer Walker’s First-Week Projections for ‘Still Over It’

Summer Walker’s highly anticipated second album, Still Over It, is off to a strong start. According to Hits Daily Double, the album is projected to amass 225-250 million on-demand audio streams and secure a spot in the 185,000 to 210,000 range on Friday’s HITS Top 50 chart.

With these impressive numbers, Still Over It is expected to debut at No. 1, marking Summer Walker’s first chart-topping album. This achievement also makes it the biggest debut by a female R&B artist since Beyoncé’s Lemonade. In 2019, Summer Walker’s first album, Over It, entered the charts at No. 2 with 134,000 album units. The album sold 14,000 copies, with 1,000 units in TEA (track equivalent albums) and 119,000 units in SEA (streaming equivalent albums).

    Reactions to Still Over It

Still Over It gained more attention following Walker’s turbulent relationship with London on da Track and the mothers of his other children. Fans were excited when the tracklist was revealed, featuring straightforward song titles like “Bitter” and “4th Baby Mama.” Even London and his baby mother, Eboni Ivorii, showed interest in the album. Eboni shared her approval of the song “Bitter” and suggested fans stream it. However, she expressed dislike for Cardi B’s narration on the track, expressing her strong disapproval in explicit language.

London also shared Young Thug’s reaction to being mentioned in the song “4th Baby Mama.” The post featured a picture of Thug with his middle finger up and a caption saying, “Summer Walker, f*ck you lol.” In the lyrics, Walker questions the purpose of continuously having children if someone else will be raising them, suggesting laziness. She wonders if there is a competition between her and Thug to have the most kids. Walker finds it surprising that some people find this situation cute and even embrace it.
