Summer Walker’s First-Week Projections for ‘Still Over It’

Summer Walker’s sophomore album Still Over It had high anticipation and the first-week projections reflect that.

Hits Daily Double reports Still Over It is projected to have on-demand audio streams of 225-250 million, with the album landing in the 185,000 to 210,000 range on Friday’s HITS Top 50.

The 20-track set is heading for a No. 1 debut, which will mark Walker’s first chart-topper. It will also be the biggest debut by a female R&B artist since Beyonce’s Lemonade. In 2019, Walker’s debut album Over It launched at No. 2 with 134,000 equivalent album units earned. The set garnered 14,000 album sales, 1,000 TEA units, and 119,000 SEA units.

    Reactions to Still Over It

Still Over It garnered more interest following Walker’s tumultuous relationship with London on da Track and the mothers of his other children. Fans knew they were in for a treat when the tracklist was revealed with blunt song titles such as “Bitter” and “4th Baby Mama.” Even London and his baby mother, Eboni Ivorii tuned into the sophomore effort. “Summer I Like the song. Y’all don’t gotta tag me no more. It’s cool. Go stream that s**t,” Eboni suggested. “It’s the first song on the album: ‘Bitter’.” However, Eboni was not fond of Cardi B’s narration on the track. “Cardi b on the hand you a lame a** duck mouth ugly teeth having nasty [censored] eatin ho and everybody kno that. mind the goof [censored] you got,” she raged.

In addition, London reposted Young Thug’s reaction to his name-drop on “4th Baby Mama,” which was a picture with his middle finger up and a caption that read, “Summer walker f*ck u lol.” The lyrics find the R&B songstress questioning if the two are competing to have the most kids.  “Now what’s the point in keep on having kids? / If she just gone be raising them, that’s just pure laziness / Ion get it is you tryna keep up with Thug? Is you racing him? / Crazy how you really think that sh*t’s cute, be embracing it, oh,” she sings.

Still Over It features the single “Ex for a Reason” with JT, plus features from Ari Lennox, Lil Durk, SZA, and more.
