The SpaceX Rocket Launch Looked Like an Alien Invasion

It’s a bird, it’s a plane…nope, it’s just another one of Elon Musk’s satellite projects.

The SpaceX CEO launched a satellite into space late Sunday, at the same time causing some hysteria throughout Los Angeles. Onlookers say the sky was bright with dancing lights, as the rocket helped lift the satellite through the atmospheres. Those who didn’t know about the space project, speculated that it was the return of aliens lifeforms. Sadly, life isn’t that interesting.

The Falcon 9 launched into the orbit, carrying the Earth-observation radar satellite, SAOCOM-1A. SAOCOM-1A took off from Vandenberg Air Force Base, and is to be used for Argentina’s national space agency. It was the first time that a SpaceX rocket touched down on California soil, and the first time Falcon 9 stuck it’s landing. Typically, SpaceX uses a site in Florida, or a launchpad based in the Pacific Ocean.

Here’s some real footage below.
