Soulja Boy is turning his swag on to the max, with his new venture into the gaming world, with “SouljaGame.”
The “Crank That” rapper has launched his own brand of game consoles and handhelds. He calls the brand of gaming devices SouljaGame.
Soulja is selling the consoles on his website, SouljaWatch, for $199.99 USD. However, despite his excitement, critics rushed in to call his products bogus.
Both Polygon and Games Radar claim you can buy unbranded versions of Soulja’s new handheld and consoles on AliExpress. AliExpress is an online retailer of goods, based in China, and they have the exact versions for just $105.99 and $72.99. Polygon states that here is nothing special about Soulja’s footprint in the tech world– and that he’s just repackaging basically.
On one hand, SouljaGame Console supposedly has 800 games ready for users to enjoy on systems like PlayStation, Neo Geo, PC, SEGA, Game Boy Advance, and NES games. On the other is SouljaGame Handheld, which is said to have about 3,000 built-in games.
Soulja hasn’t responded to the criticism. He’s just riding the wave.
